Community of James Ruse Meeting
On Friday night our Zero Robotics team competed in the International Final. Communicating directly with astronauts on the ISS, the students watched the finals play out. Our team, comprised of Steven Liu, Kevin Ding, Kevin Zhu and Sanchit Gupta guided by their mentor Mrs Sheila Pooviah, did extremely well in the competition. Congratulations all.
A special welcome to all our new families to Ruse. New students in Year 7,8,9,10 and 11 have hopefully enjoyed their first week. Year 7 have been participating in our Creative and Critical Thinking program. They have experienced a wide variety of activities including puzzle solving, group performances, art making, science experiments, farm exploration, public speaking and positive physical/mental health awareness.
If you wish to speak to a teacher about your child, you may email the school at email@example.com and your query will be forwarded. Alternatively, you can phone the school on 9871 7126 and you will be transferred to the teacher's voicemail where you may leave a detailed message and your contact details. This method will allow teachers to contact you at a convenient time, and also allow them to be fully prepared when they speak to you. Teachers spend their non-class time preparing lessons and marking and it can be difficult for them to take phone calls from parents at this time. Some teachers are not at school every day and they may take longer to respond, but all queries will be answered. If it is an urgent matter please explain it to the office staff and it will be attended to as quickly as possible.
Have a wonderful week.
