Last Thursday and Friday night we all had the pleasure of witnessing a wonderful Year 11 Drama Production. Scenes from an Execution was beautifully directed by Mr Jamie Gerlach. The students were sensational. Please enjoy the photos below. Our next major production will be our end of year concert for our Music classes and Ensemble performances. This year we have moved the concert to the Chatswood Concourse and it will be held on December 2nd at 6.30pm. Please put this date in your calendar.

Sarah Tan (11) has won 3 of 4 possible Gold Medals and a Silver Medal in the 2014 Australian Junior Table Tennis Championship over the school holidays. She won Gold in the U18 Girls Team, U18 Mixed Doubles and U18 Girls Singles. Unfortunately, she was denied her fourth Gold by the smallest of margins in the U18 Girls Doubles to settle with a Silver. Sarah was awarded the “Best U18 Girls Player of the tournament”. She has also been selected into the Australian Girls Team to compete in the upcoming 2014 World Junior Table Tennis Championships in Shanghai this November and December, for the fourth year in a row! We wish Sarah congratulations and good luck.

Due to the wonderful achievement of our Year 10 Science and Engineering Challenge team, we have moved our Year 9 and 10 exams.

Year 9 exams will now occur in Week 4

Year 10 exams will now occur in Week 5

The SRC and school executive have made the decision to change the way sports uniform is worn on Wednesday to and from school. In Term 4 and Term 1 (our summer terms) our Year 9-12 students are allowed to wear their shorts and t-shirt. We do encourage students to buy the new uniform when appropriate. In Winter terms (Terms 2 and 3) it will be compulsory to wear the tracksuit over the sports uniform or to wear full school uniform to and from school.

We have also been targeting the appropriate wearing of the uniform. Senior Boys must wear their ties done up correctly, shirts must be tucked in, shoes polished and skirts / dresses must be an appropriate length.  Please discuss these issues with your child.

The HSC has started well. A number of papers have been completed and students are remaining focused on the next exam. It has been wonderful seeing parents drop off and collect students; this shows your wonderful support of your child. Our Year 11 Agriculture students and Year 10 Software Design and Development are also studying hard.

Last weekend many Year 9 students completed their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Hike in the Royal National Park. Thank you for Ms Jenns, Ms Burgess, Ms Brooks, Ms McKenzie and Mr Pakes.

This week we have had the pleasure of interviewing our Year 7 2015 cohort. It is always fabulous to meet our enthusiastic and eager newcomers and their families. Orientation Day is December 3rd. Thank you to the wonderful Uniform Shop volunteers who assisted Mrs Wong on all three days.

Our Year 8 debating team have moved to the Quarter Finals and will compete at Model Farms High School on Monday – we wish them well.

Have a wonderful week
