Principal's Newsletter, Week 5, Term 1, 2017

posted Mar 2, 2017, 9:16 PM by Unknown user

Congratulations to our Prefects for a wonderful week of events to raise everyone’s spirits and celebrate Valentine’s Day. The dance, serenades, deliveries and concert ensured a fun and inclusive week. Thank you to Ms Briggs for supervising and guiding our prefect body.

Our High Achievers’ Assembly on Tuesday was a great celebration of the successes of our students and staff. It was inspiring to listen to Muditha Nanayakkara (ex-student 2010) describe his journey from school to becoming a doctor at St George Hospital. His experiences working in rural and indigenous communities gave us an insight into the diversity of studying medicine. Thank you to Mrs Mayers, Mrs Hayes and Mrs Haslehust-Smith for organising this special event.

Our Musical team have been working diligently to ensure another huge success in 2017. Ticket booking information will be available in the next newsletter. Tickets will go on sale on Saturday 4th March.

Ticket Name

Family (3)

2 adults and 1 child/student

Please save the date. Last year we had full audiences and it would be wonderful to achieve the same outcome

this year.

Year 12 Information Night – Unfortunately we did need to change the date to Monday February 27th at 6.30pm to ensure we could accommodate our ex-student Ruth Fordyce. Ruth, a psychologist, and Mr Gabriel Wong, our school counsellor, will give advice on how to thrive during the HSC year. It is important that both students of year 12 and parents attend.
